Most voters mark paper. Print the name on the write-in line under Sheriff, then fill in the oval next to that line. Then check it.

The touchscreen.
Marion County uses ES&S voting equipment. Its touchscreen prints your choices on a ballot card, and the card is counted in the scanner. This practice screen follows the ES&S ExpressVote layout: insert the card, go to Sheriff, touch Write-in, type the name, Accept, review, print, read the card, then cast it.
Practice screen modeled on official ExpressVote voter guides (West Virginia Secretary of State, 2026; Berks County, Pennsylvania). It is not the vendor's software. The machine at your polling place will list every contest on your ballot, and its colors and spacing may differ. The steps and button names follow those guides. Ask an election judge if anything looks different.

Finish both drills first.
Complete the paper ballot and the touchscreen, and this step unlocks.
Save the card and post it, or send the practice link to five people who vote. Every person who practices is one fewer lost write-in vote.
Made a mistake?
Ask for a new ballot
If you mark the wrong oval, or the touchscreen paper does not read CODY ROSE under Sheriff, do not cast it. Ask an election judge for a new ballot. You are entitled to one.
